Etihad Airways Fleet

In February 2006 Etihad have launched the first of five Boeing 777 aircraft and is due to be in service very shortly. The aircraft is fitted with Etihad's brand new Coral and Pearl Zone. Coral Zone features 33" seat pitch in a 3-3-3 configuration and a 10.4 inch individual screen. Pearl Zone features 73" seat pitch, which reclines to a horizontal flat bed. They also offer 15" screens and a spacious 1 -2 - 1 configuration.

Etihad Airways has selected the Airbus A330-200 as the backbone of its fleet, offering wide-bodied comfort in all zones, across its growing network. This aircraft offers a high degree of operational flexibility, economy and comfort, and is widely regarded as the most modern design of its class.

The A340-300 aircraft, which can accommodate 265 guests in a three-zone cabin layout, is targeted specifically at the long-haul market. These aircraft offer a range of over 7,300 nm/13,500km and are powered by CFM56-5C engines.

On Board Ethiad Airways

At Etihad, they have done away with the conventional designations of economy, business and first classes. Depending on the type of aircraft you fly, they have up to three ‘guest zones’ – Diamond, Pearl and Coral – each offering exclusive service to our guests, each designed to make you feel welcome and completely at home.

Coral Zone (economy)

The Coral Zone has a high ratio of cabin crew to guests, which will make sure the whole of your journey is an experience to be relished. In addition to inflight video and audio programmes, every Coral Zone guest can expect newspapers, wet wipes to freshen up with, blankets and pillows.

The same distinguished chefs who cook for the other zones on your flight will be preparing the dishes served in the Coral Zone. You will dine in style off specially designed Wedgwood melamine, with steel cutlery (where regulations permit) and glass tumblers to drink from. (Coral Zone diners are served a variety of excellent quality international wines from full-size bottles.)

In addition to a generous seat pitch of 32 inches, which provides ample leg room, each seat is equipped with a footrest for added comfort.

Pearl Zone (Business Class)

Personal service and attention to detail is the focus in Pearl Class, and to ensure the highest possible standard of both, Pearl Zone guests are assigned dedicated members of the cabin crew. As soon as you are onboard the aircraft, one of the flight hosts will greet you and personally assist you to your seat. Sit back, enjoy your complimentary drinks and a selection of fine reading material. Explore the range of programming that our inflight entertainment system offers. Once you're in the sky, lean back, stretch your legs, and experience the spacious luxury of your distinctive Pearl Zone surroundings.

In Etihad's Pearl Zone, you will dine in a style that perfectly complements this refined travelling experience. Each of our guests is given personal service, and you'll dine off fine china with tasteful cutlery and glassware. Our award-winning chefs prepare a menu of imaginatively selected dishes that reflect our own international flavour.

Diamond Zone (First Class)

The Diamond Zone offers a truly regal experience that begins from the moment you arrive at the airport. An Etihad ground concierge will often relieve you of your luggage and accompany you through check-in to your departure gate and onto your flight, assisting you all the way.

Once aboard the aircraft, the ground concierge will stow your hand luggage, see that you are comfortably seated in the Diamond Zone and introduce you to our flight host. In the Diamond Zone we have one dedicated host for every four or five guests, and you'll immediately notice how carefully they listen to your questions and how quickly they carry out your requests.

Along with the abundant space and luxury you enjoy as a Diamond Zone guest, your inflight dining experience will come as a revelation. We believe that meal-time in the Diamond Zone should come as close as possible to the experience at a fine-dining restaurant.

So you will be individually table-served, dining off specially designed Rosenthal china, with silver plated cutlery (where regulations permit) and quality glassware, on exquisite table linen. Our Diamond Zone menu is extensive and imaginative, prepared by award-winning chefs, chosen for their natural expertise in international cuisines.

A generous flat bad of 74 inches, which provides ample room, each seat is also equipped with a footrest for added comfort.

Etihad have hand picked the best in entertainment for you, including blockbuster movies, popular television programmes and specially commissioned audio channels in various languages, including one you are most comfortable with. Baggage Allowance

UAE Civil Aviation regulations require no piece of checked baggage exceeds 32kg in weight or 80 inches in dimensions. Checked baggage allowance per guests is as follows:
