Golfing in Dubai
Dubai offers year round golf. This
exciting destination has the
distinction of being the only
golfing centre in the world to host
major international tournaments on
both the European and Asian PGA
circuits. Visiting golfers are
offered a choice of courses, three
of championship standard, one 9-hole
grass course and a unique sand
course. Each provides its own
challenge to players of all
standards.
Emirates Golf Club
On the outskirts of the city,
Emirates Golf Club - the Middle
East's first championship grass
course, is an oasis of green. The
two beautifully landscaped courses
offer challenging golf to all
standards of players.
The Majlis Course - This 18
hole championship course, plays to a
par of 72.
The Wadi Course - An 18 hole
par 72 course, dominated by a
spectacular landscaped wadi.
Facilities:
• The impressive Clubhouse is
designed to resemble a group of
Bedouin tents; it is one of the most
recognised landmarks in
international golf.
• Superb five star French
restaurant, plus bars and lounges.

When confirming your accommodation,
we recommend you pre book your golf.
During high season in particular,
the courses are very busy and you
will find it very difficult to book
a game locally, once in Dubai.
Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club
Opened in January 1993, Dubai's
second World-class golf course is
the centrepiece of an 80-hectare
sports and leisure complex that also
incorporates a 115 berth marina.
Located close to the International
airport on the banks of Dubai Creek,
this club hosted the European Tour
Event, Dubai Desert Classic.
The Course:
• The main championship 18 hole, par
72 course is 6,839 yards in length.
• Three ornamental lakes and a
further three seawater hazards are a
feature of the course.
• Cunning doglegs along the
immaculate fairways challenge both
amateur and professional alike.
• The 9 hole, par 3 course, fully
floodlit, is a unique facility to
practice your short game, day and
night.

• Designed in the shape of the
billowing sails of a traditional
Arabian Dhow, the 45-metre high
clubhouse captures the essence of
Dubai's seafaring traditions.
• Bars and function rooms overlook
the 9th and 18th greens, while the
Fairways restaurant combines quality

Dubai.
• Golf Academy, High Tec studio and
a double-ended driving range with
instruction from 7 PGA qualified

Nad Al Shiba Club Golf and Race
Course
Dubai's third grass course, with its
links course straddling the racing
circuit, venue for the annual Dubai
World Cup, the richest horse race in
the world. The club offers the only
fully floodlit 18-hole course in the
Middle East, along with a floodlit
driving range. Its night-time golf
has proved very popular.
The Course:
• Fully floodlit 18 hole course.
• 18 holes, par 71 - 6,428 yard
course.
• Built around 8 lakes, three of
which are for irrigation.
• The golf course has all the
characteristics of a Scottish links,
with rolling fairways and deep pot
bunkers.

• The three-storey blue-tiled
clubhouse offers panoramic views
across the race track and golf
course.
• Built in the traditional style
found on British courses, the
interior features wood panelled
rooms and leather sofas.

course (soft spikes or rubber soled
shoes are allowed.
• Possession of a handicap
certificate is required for the Nad
Al Sheba Club.
Al Badia Golf Course
Al Badia Golf Course is the first
phase of the Dubai Festival City
project. It is an 18-hole
championship golf course designed by
world renowned golf course designer
Robert Trent Jones II. This course,
which is differentiated by its
oasis-style theme set in the heart
of the city, will further enhance
Dubai's growing reputation as an
international golfing destination.
Executive lifestyle homes will be
built around the course, all with
stunning views of the course, the
lakes and the Dubai skyline.
The Course:
• 7250 yards Par 72 Championship 18
hole Golf Course.
• Suits all skill levels with
alternative tee-to-green routes.
• Green fees include 18 holes of
golf and shared cart.
• 2km from Dubai International
Airport.
• There are extensive water features
and 11 lakes.
• Starting times are in 15 min.

4-balls and therefore players
booking less than a 4-ball must
expect to be paired up with another
